Doctoral study

General Profile of the Branches of Study:

Programme of Study:

Technique and Technology in Transport and Communications

Branch of Study: Transport Means and Infrastructure

The students of this course learn to solve theoretically demanding problems occuring in the field of transport means and infrastructure. They gain thorough knowledge of mathematics,  strength of materials, dynamics, reliability and service life, complemented with special knowledge from the field of vehicles and infrastructure. In particular they master computational and experimental methods of transport means and transport route interaction analysis. On top of that, they master diagnostic methods of vehicle and transport route design and the following methods of planning, maintenance and reconstruction. They are able to communicate with international experts actively. The graduates can assert themselves in a creative development of the field issues at the scientific and research organizations and also at universities. They can work in top positions of designing institutes and managerial positions solving demanding theoretical problems of transport vehicles and transport route. They can also be employed at the managerial level of the government administration for complex solving of transport means and infrastructure issues.</f‍ont>

Branch of Study:Technology and Management in Transport and Telecommunications

The students of this course gain deep theoretical knowledge of mathematics, operational research, information and control systems, transport and telecommunication systems, decision making, management, modern logistics systems, modelling of technological processes and new directions in technology and strategic control. They learn to apply this knowledge in a creative way while solving complex problems of transport and telecommunication processes. Thus they are able of an active communication with international institutions within their expertise at least in two international languages. The graduates can use their knowledge in an independent, creative development of the transport theory principles at domestic as well as international scientific-research organizations and universities specialized in transport. As eminent experts they can also find employment in the government and local government institutions and transport organizations devising strategies and solutions to complex problems occuring in transport and telecommunications.
