The graduates of the Master study programme Transport Technology and Control have knowledge of theory of control and decision making in the systems, transport theory and modelling, transport engineering, transport economy and other disciplines. They apply this knowledge independently in technology and control of complex shifting systems, in logistics and transfer technologies. They have a special knowledge in the field of quality of transport and conveyance processes and services, and in traffic control in emergency situations. The graduate is able to maintain managerial positions in transport, forwarding and logistics organizations, state and public administration institutions. They can find an independent, creative and project job in various types of organizations including scientific and research and project foundation. They are qualified for conceptual work at all levels of management.

Branch of Study: Transport Means – Road/Rail Vehicles

The aim of this course to prepare specialists qualified for creative technical branches as well as managerial roles in the field of design, construction, maintenance and operation of road and railway vehicles. The graduates have knowledge from theoretical subjects and can use the systems for construction support (CAD, MKP, ProEng). They have knowledge from the theory and construction of the vehicles and their maintenance, vehicle testing as well as use of modern construction materials. The graduates find employment especially in higher operational and managerial positions, in the field of construction, production, operation and repair of transport means. They can also advance themselves in the sphere of research and development or in higher positions of state and regional administration.

Branch of Study: Electrical Engineering and Electronic Systems in Transport

This course is conceived as a university study programme focused on electric drives, traction and transport energetics, safety technology and communication technology. The programme provides complex insight into problems of electrical engineering networks, devices, and systems in the transport system, their mutual connections and conflicts. By selecting the compulsory-elective subjects the students can specialize in the following fields: electrical drives, electrical tracks, power supply, electric traction, communication and safety devices in transport, microprocessor technology and automobile electronics.  The graduates of this follow-up Master study programme have theoretical knowledge of general electrical engineering and electronics, further mainly in mathematics and physics. Their special knowledge is related, according to specialization, either to electrical drives and traction and power supply devices of electrical tracks, or to safety and communication devices.  The graduates are able to perform technical managerial roles and conceptual activity especially in operation and control of electrical engineering devices or in production of such devices. They find employment in transport companies as well as at producers, suppliers and operators of transport means, power supply systems, electrical equipment of vehicles  or communication and safety systems. They can also be an asset in construction and design departments of electrical engineering and electronic companies.

Branch of Study: Operational Reliability of Transport Means and Infrastructure

The aim of this course is to educate qualified specialists who are able to independently and promptly solve assigned tasks of an operational nature, related to the quality and operational realiability of means of transport and infrastructure. The graduates master advanced preparatory and expert subjects on a required theoretical level of university study. They are equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge of quality and operational reliability management in transport. Moreover, they are knowledgeable in the regulations related to the branch issues. On the job market the graduates can assert themselves in transport organizations in the public as well as the private sector. They can work in professional as well as managerial roles in operation, maintenance, design and development of cars or transport constructions.

Branch of Study: Operational Reliability of Transport Means and Infrastructure – specialization Environmental Protection in Transport

The aim of the course is education of qualified specialists who are able to independently and promptly solve assigned tasks of an operational nature related to environmental protection. The graduates master advanced preparatory and expert subjects on a required theoretical level of university study. They are equipped with theoretical as well as practical knowledge from the field of environmental creation and protection, knowledge from the field of environmental monitoring in relation to transport and from the field of environmental control and information systems. They can use the information and communication technology actively and work with electronic information sources. They are thoroughly familiarized with environmental legislation as well as with the character of parts of the environment and the operational materials used in transport. They also have practical laboratory experience. The graduates can find employment in transport organizations in the public and also the private sector. They can work as ecologists of a transport companies and administrators or auditors of the environmental system, in state administration institutions, at communal, municipal or regional offices in the departments of the environment, regional development or at land registry offices. In the private sector they can work with data analysis, in the field of tourism development, in the counselling services, further in diagnostic centres, laboratories and testing rooms.

Branch of Study: Applied Informatics in Transport

The branch of study Applied Informatics in Transport of the follow-up study programme Transport Engineering and Communications follows especially the branch of the same name of the Bachelor study programme Transport Technologies and Communications, but also other Bachelor study branches from the field of information technologies, respecting the Bologna convention. The students have the chance to gain deeper theoretical knowledge and practical abilities in the field of applied informatics with specialization in independent creative and design work and a prerequisite for specialization in the field of informatics in transport. The Master study programme of this branch is aimed especially towards the field of information technologies from the point of view of methods of rational information processing, algorithmization and use of modern programming languages, building and administration of databases and information systems, system analysis applications, administration and service of computer networks with respect to its interdisciplinary character. The graduates can use the theoretical knowledge from the field of information technologies, theory of control and decision making in systems, transport technology, transport economics, transport theory and other disciplines in practice. The graduates are able to control information technologies focused on data processing, use modern programming languages, project and realize construction and administration of databases and information systems, create system analysis applications. They master problems of designing and administration of computer networks. The aim of the branch of study is the education of qualified specialists able to maintain managerial positions in organizations, especially in the field of information technology use.
