The aim of the project is to provide a means for analysis, planning and strategic decision-making in the field of deployment of low-emission and sustainable rail transport vehicles, in particular vehicles with combined trolley and battery power. It compares them with diesel and electric traction vehicles. Means will be developed to analyse and optimise the infrastructural, environmental, energy, transport and economic impacts and to effectively implement accutrol vehicles on the Czech railways, with the aim of increasing the share of low-emission rail transport. The project scope will also include the issues of the links of advanced battery charging to the energy infrastructure, the operation of electric traction vehicles and the use of AC 25 kV/50 Hz traction power converter technologies
