eng	Laboratory analyses of Austenitic Weld Deposits on Tram Rail type D 180/105, materials specification S 800.	The report is dealing with a rational method of increasing the permanent way service life - by weld deposits on the worn-out rail material. We applied work hardened austenitic weld deposits, based on Cr-Mn and Cr-Ni-Mn respectively - flux-cored wire for the wear resistant buildups. The austenitic deposit is noted for very high work hardenability, accompanied by good toughness and resistance to cracking.	rail steel;reprofilling;weld joints;weld deposits
