cze Valivý kontakt jako dynamický tribologický problém V předloženém článku jsou v úvodu shrnuty a znovu zhodnoceny výsledky dosavadního výzkumu, který se zabýval vlivem nehomogenity materiálu (WEL) na iniciaci poruch, vycházejících z (pod)povrchových vrstev. Těžiště nových úvah je uvedeno v kap.4 a 5, kde je upozorněno na možnost vzniku relaxačního samobuzeného kmitání v povrchových vrstvách. Autoři se opírají o rozbor dynamiky spojitého prostředí (kap.4), ze kterého vyplývá reálná možnost vzniku relaxačního kmitání v KKK. Možný vznik takového druhu kmitání závisí na průběhu součinitele tření ve vztahu k rychlosti jízdy, a ve zvláštním případě (kdy uvedená závislost vykazuje stoupající tendenci), mohou vzniknout stabilní cykly kmitání s nespojitým průběhem výchylek, tedy s rázovým charakterem, pro který je charakteristická přetržitost v průběhu rychlosti kmitání. eng Rolling Contact as a Dynamical Tribological Problem In the introduction part (chapter 1 and 2), the presented paper summarises and evaluates research results obtained up to now. These analyses were aimed at nonhomogeneities of material and their influence on initiation of defects, generated in sub/surface layers. As the centre of the paper, the new ideas are given in the chapter 4 and 5, dealing with a possibility for generation of self-excited relaxation oscillation in the surface layers of rail and railway wheel. Authors apply the analysis of the dynamics of a continuous body (chapter 4), that can predict a real possibility of relaxation oscillation in the surface layers of rail and railway wheel. The possible rise of such a kind of oscillation depends on a course of a friction coefficient with regard to a running velocity. For a special case, when this dependence is characterised with an increasing tendency, the stable cycles of oscillation can rise with noncontinuous courses of deviations, and thereby with impact character and broken up path of a velocity vibration. The wholly credible prognose of the unfavourable phenomenon is hardly resoluted theoretically in a satisfactory way. That is why the authors in the final part of the article present a new experimental device for verification of the predicted phenomenon. At the same time, the applied specimens will be analysed from the view of the influence of the oscillation on their surface state. The considerable heat-affection of subsurface materials layers, rise of quenched microstructures with high hardness level, rise and propagation of heat and fatigue cracks as well as the origin of contact fatigue and falling of the material out from the railway wheel tread, these are the compelling effects occurring in the railway operation conditions in a case of railway vehicles with disk brakes.
