The Tram-Train system has already been applied in many cities within Europe as a positive regional public transport improvement. Many projects and studies have proved that the Czech Republic has suitable cities for Tram-Train system application. Unfortunately, at present there is still no such system in operation. The paper focuses on the main Czech Tram-Train project in the Liberec region. The condition of this project is briefly described.
