eng	Clusters in the Region of Pardubice	This presentation deals with the issue of the clusters and cluster initiatives and emphasized the genuine idea of Porters cluster as engine of productivity and innovation growth. Cluster and cluster initiatives present one of the best possibilities how to increase the competitiveness of region, which is basic aim of regional policy in Czech Republic as well as in whole European Union. However the new member states of EU often do not have experience with successful projects, clusters and cluster initiatives.
