eng	Congestion charging in cities	In many cities all over the world the rate of transport growth achieves a critical threshold in recent decades. This causes a danger to economic competitiveness, and hampers sustainable development. Therefore, the paper deals with the basic principles of congestion pricing in urban areas. At the concrete it shows toll systems. Congestion pricing is the core of a strategy for both efficient allocation of resources and sustainable finance of transport in cities.
