eng Simulations of dynamic behaviour of locomotive 744.001 CZ LOKO Nowadays, computer simulations of vehicle run are often used and practically the only possible way how to verify and optimize the dynamic behaviour of a rail vehicle in its design stage. Various simulation tools based on the principle of multi-body simulations can be used for these purposes. However, one of the most significant problems is a credibility of obtained simulation results, i.e. a verification of the used computational models and their validation. This paper deals with verification simulations of dynamic properties of a new diesel-electric locomotive Class 744.0 which was being developed in a cooperation of the locomotive manufacturer CZ LOKO and the Jan Perner Transport Faculty of the University of Pardubice in years 2010 to 2012. In this case, relevant simulations were performed by means of the original software "SJKV" intended for simulations of vehicle run. For purposes of the verification of computational model, results of the simulations of dynamic behaviour of the locomotive prototype performed by means of the original simulation tool "SJKV" were compared with results obtained by means of an analogous model created in the commercial simulation tool SIMPACK. dynamic behaviour of a rail vehicle; multi-body simulations; verification of computational model; diesel-electric locomotive; Class 744.0; CZ LOKO bogie type; simulation tool "SJKV"
