eng	Possibilities of using Data Matrix code	The paper focuses on the use of Data Matrix code, ie modern automatic identification technology in the logistics and transport. In the paper this code is characterized and divided according to different sizes. They are defined by international standards which standardize the Data Matrix code and GS1 organization and its standard GS1 DataMatrix. Further they are characterized by different realization techniques and are compared in the context of potential use in different realization kinds of materials. In the last part of the paper analyzes the various applications of this code and predicted a development in this area in the future.
