eng Impact of the Financial Crisis on Capital Markets and Global Economic Performance The impact of the global financial crisis on capital markets and the performance of the economies, six years after its first indication in 2007, is analyzed in this article. The global economies have been forced to make a number of measures to support their economies and to avert the threat of falling into recession in the course of the recent years. The paper describes the current risk and performance of the economies of particular countries with the estimate for the next period. Based on these data, we can monitor the ability of each country or community to deal with the crisis and state whether their anti-crisis measures were successful. financial crisis; GDP - gross domestic product; EFSF - European Financial Stability Facility; European Central Bank
