eng Experimental analysis of railway vehicle passing over turnout frog The contribution will deal with an assessment of a vehicle dynamical response in the course of passing over one of the most complicated turnout part which is the frog (it is the place of the rail crossing). The experimental analysis is based on measuring of a vertical acceleration on the wheelset axle box with the sampling rate 20 kHz. For the strain assessment of the frog, the measured acceleration course is converted to the equivalent loading. Its maximum is usually reached just at the frog tip. The paper will also content a procedure for identification of the position, where the wheel leaves the wing rail and runs onto the frog tip or conversely (with respect to the passing direction). This procedure is based on double integration of the measured acceleration signal and thereby the vertical wheel deflection is determined. At the end of this contribution, the experimental results obtained continuously since 2014 will be also presented including of their comparison. railway vehicle; turnout; frog; acceleration measurement
