In modern society is the driving force of economic growth and allow people to commute to work and travel. Transport is also a major source and an important tool for continued European integration. More than ever, organizations and individuals in the European Union to reap the benefits offered by the extension and integration of the common market. This leads to an increase in volume and complexity of the traffic and therefore there is not sufficiently sustainable transport system in the European Union. This article aims to analyse the current development of the carbon dioxide emissions of new road cars in the Czech Republic in the context of sustainable transport.
