cze Pokročilé technologie tvorby heterogenních svarových rozhraní Functionally graded materials belong to current trends towards optimising the operational lifetime and durability of structural materials. Creating contact layers of rail profiles with increased rolling-contact resistance is one of the most demanding applications. The operational loading system leads to complex wear-fatigue degradation in the rail-wheel contact, modified surface layers are a promising way to suppress the natural progressive depletion of plasticity of the standard pearlitic rail steels. In this study, different technologies suppressing the dilution of the welding pool are experimentally compared; the evaluation focused on the capability to gain acceptable structural conditions of the heat-affected zone along with the structural stability at the heterogeneous fusion zone.
