The field of study is focused on low-voltage current and high-voltage current equipment in the construction of road and rail vehicles and railway transport routes.
Theoretical background
In addition to theoretical knowledge in the fields of mathematics, physics, information technology, economics, transport technology and of course electrical engineering and electronics, we will teach you in this technical field how to effectively apply them into practice. You will study technical subjects such as electrical engineering, electrical machines, security technology, digital technology, C programming, etc.
Practical application of acquired knowledge
- Communication and security systems in transport,
- railway, road, tramway and trolleybus electric drives and traction,
- power supply systems in transport
- road vehicle diagnostic systems
By selecting alternative subjects, students can specialize deeply in the high-power distribution (including e.g. power supply and electric traction) or the low-voltage distribution (containing e.g. electronics, microprocessor and communication technology and security equipment).
Relation to the study practice
The practical part of the study is carried out mainly in modern equipped laboratories, such as the laboratories of electronics and microprocessor technology, autoelectrics and autoelectronics, electrical machines, drives, traction and power electronics. Students can measure their knowledge on their own experimental rail vehicle and on several road vehicles. Excursions and lectures by practitioners are a common part of the studies.
