The study is focused on gaining the knowledge and skills necessary for solving problems related to the construction of mechanical parts of rail or road vehicles.
What will you learn?
Students will gain both a general knowledge of transport issues, as well as theoretical knowledge and practical skills that are necessary for the design of mechanical parts of rail or road vehicles in technical practice. It is possible to specialise in rail or road vehicles during the study by choosing compulsory-optional blocks of courses.
Linking theory to practice
Important aspects of of the study include field trips, professional internships of students in companies, and selected lectures by experts from practice who teach vocational subjects. Bachelor's theses are usually assigned in cooperation with companies and organisations operating in the field. Students also have the opportunity to participate in research activities related to the content of the study programme.
Career
Graduates can hold various technical positions in institutions and companies dealing with construction, development, design, production, reconstruction, as well as the testing of land vehicles. They are also ready to study in a follow-up postgraduate study programme of the same or a similar focus.
