Research in the department may be broadly divided into these areas
- dynamic contact of metalic parts (ie. “wheel-rail” contact problem),
- material research in the field of transport means and infrastructure,
- fatigue strength and working life of transport means and infrastructure parts,
- FEM analyses of thin-wall structures.
