Inovation of Electric Drives Education

Provider: Ministerstvo školství, mládeže a tělovýchovy
Programme: FRVŠ - B a)
Implementation period: 01.01.13 - 31.12.13
Workplace: Dopravní fakulta Jana Pernera - Katedra elektrotech., elektron. a zabezp
Investigator: Sýkora Petr
Description:
The project is focused on the improvement and extension of laboratory education in subjects related to electric machines and electric drives through the application of modern induction machines and semiconductor converters. Existing electrical machinery equipment is free of such induction machines with squirrel cage, that could correspond with a dynamometer used in the laboratory of electric drives of Department of Electrical and Electronical Engineering and Signalling in Transport. Drives with induction motors are currently predominant, therefore it is necessary to equip a laboratory with machines, that will allow contemporary measurements extend due to the built-in temperature sensors in the areas of thermal processes and due to foreign cooling to achieve better results in the measurement of the alternative machine parameters in the short. Forced cooling and a built-in temperature sensors also enables full exploitation of the drive during its supplying from the invertors. Softstarters enables expanding laboratory tasks to another modern way of starting of induction machines. DC-DC converter fill in the gap in convertor technology, which is now existing in the equipment of laboratory of electric drives. These converters will be used both for teaching electric drives, as well as for teaching of power electronics. Intended clutches allow easier and safer clamping electric machines to a dynamometer.
