Description:
The main goal of the project is to propose a methodology that enables determination of stress state in continuous welded rail (CWR) by non-destructive methods, based on parameters, which have an impact on the stress level, and whose values can be obtained by non-destructive methods, too. 3 long-term field measurements will be combined with numerical models. We want to transfer the valuable knowledge gained by this research to the railway infrastructure managers resulting in safe and cost efficiency management of railway structures. Other goals of the proposed project are creation of functional sample of measuring set for CWR time development diagnostics and deepening of knowledge about CWR behaviour under various outer conditions.
