Description:
The subject of the project is research and development of a special cover (radome), through for radio waves (so-called "radio-transparent"), which protects the radar antenna mainly from the weather. The project solves the appropriate material composition of composite parts, materials and the process of joining parts. Based on microwave measurements, the effect of radom on the system properties of the radar will be evaluated. The project will also run a parallel process of structural design and testing to achieve the required mechanical strength. The result of research and development will be a functional sample of the radom for the antenna system of the combined radar and a proven production technology documented by its own documentation (specific production process of pre-prepared panels taking into account the subsequent use in assembling the radom).
