Railway turnouts with moveable crossings are becoming more common. In the case of high-speed lines, this design will be the only one possible. It will be also desirable to restrict the access to the HSL during operation, including for staff carrying out maintenance and inspection activities. The aim of the project is therefore to develop an autonomous device for comprehensive diagnostics of movable parts. The autonomous diagnostic system will be installed in the crossing area and applied to switch area and will diagnose the operational condition. The equipment will be based on dynamic response sensing. An autonomous data acquisition and transmission system will be designed and implemented, and machine learning-based evaluation software including a user interface will be developed.
