What is the CityGO Project?

It is an international project involving 6 European universities. Thanks to an innovative form of online learning, using interactive digital materials, game elements and teamwork in international student communities, you will have the opportunity to experience Erasmus+ "out of the box". And who knows, maybe you'll go abroad to study next semester!

What is the theme of the CityGO Project?  

SUSTAINABLE CITY. Terms such as sustainability, climate neutral cities, decarbonisation, Green Deal are frequently used in today's society. Choose a topic that interests you and learn how these concepts can be put into practice. Classes will be taught online in English and each of the participating institutions invites students to the following 6 learning modules (you can sign up for any of them without limit):

  • Design and Construction of Green Buildings (VTDK, Lithuania; 6 ECTS - can be found as a "C" module in STAG system under the abbreviation DFJ/XEDAC)
  • Urban design - Sustainable downtown area in the city (BUT, Poland; 6 ECTS - can be found as a "C" module in STAG system under the abbreviation DFJ/XESZP)
  • Resource-Efficient 3D Printing (EUF, Germany; 5 ECTS - can be found as a "C" module in STAG system under the abbreviation DFJ/XERE3)
  • Mental Health Promotion and Well-being (UMAIA, Portugal; 6 ECTS - -can be found as a "C" module in STAG system under the abbreviation DFJ/XEMHP)
  • Human-Robot Interaction (UPATRAS, Greece; 6 ECTS - can be found as a "C" module in STAG system under the abbreviation DFJ/XEHRI)
  • Sustainable Mobility (UPCE, Czech Republic; 6 ECTS - can be found as a "C" module in STAG system under the abbreviation KDMML/XESUM)

How can you join the CityGO Project?

You can get involved by enrolling in any of the above module, taught online in English, in the summer semester 2023. 

Our faculty contributes to the project with the topic Sustainable Mobility (information on the module below).

More information on the module Sustainable Mobility:

The course is focused on characteristic features of transport and its relation to the sustainable development. The aim of the module is to acquaint students with the basic procedures and principles used in the planning, management and monitoring of sustainable transport and teach them to apply these procedures and principles on specific examples.

The module is divided into main parts:

  1. General section - Environmental aspects of sustainable mobility
  2. Application section:
    1. Measures in European cities in the context of environmental aspects of sustainable mobility
    2. Cargo bikes in cities 
    3. Emission calculators and their use
  3. General section - Economic aspects of sustainable mobility
  4. Application section:
    1.  Intermodal transport 
    2.  Logistics centres 
    3.  Interoperability in transport in relation to CBTC
  5. General section - Social aspects of sustainable mobility 
  6. Application section:
    1. Public service in transport
    2. Modern public transport systems 
    3. Accessibility of transport for PRM
  7. General section - Institutional aspects of sustainable mobility
  8. Application section:
    1.  Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans
    2.  Decision support systems I.
    3.  Decision support systems II.
