Does the term Sustainable Mobility mean something to you? Would you like to solve the urban and non-urban mobility problems of the modern city? Do you enjoy meeting new people? Do you want to try Erasmus+ in the draft? 

Sustainable Mobility (SM) is an international Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme project: THE PRINCIPLES OF SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY IN EU CITIES, a blended mobility aimed at providing a rare opportunity for students and faculty to foster the development of international and interdisciplinary learning and teaching. The goal is to ensure both virtual and in-person research-based and challenge-based approaches in teaching and learning so that students can be engaged and prepared to take action in finding solutions to societal challenges.

WHO IS BIP SM FOR?

Both undergraduate and postgraduate students who want to get ready for their international study abroad.
Students who are enthusiastic about learning about other cultures.
Students who want to acquire new skills to be better positioned in our increasingly globalised society.
Students are keen to acquire practical skills in the sustainable mobility of their regions and cities.


BIP SM THEMES
The course is focused on the characteristic features of transport and its relation to sustainable development. The course aims to acquaint students with the basic procedures and principles used in the planning, management and monitoring of sustainable transport and teach them to apply these procedures and principles to specific examples.

Environmental aspects of sustainable mobility
Application section: Measures in European cities in the context of environmental aspects of sustainable mobility, Cargo bikes in cities, Emission calculators and their use.
Economic aspects of sustainable mobility
Application section: Intermodal transport, Logistics centres, Interoperability in transport about CBTC.
Social aspects of sustainable mobility
Application section: Public service in transport, Modern public transport systems, Accessibility of transport for PRM.
Institutional aspects of sustainable mobility
Application section: Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans, Decision support systems I., Decision support systems II.


HOW DOES BIP SM WORK?
Online self-study part with virtual consultations and socialisation.
5 days of face-to-face interaction between lecturers and participants in Pardubice.
4 - 8 hours a day of classroom work and outside teamwork on the UPCE campus. 
Solving practical tasks.
Online sessions are working with creative thinking tools.
Practical teamwork, role-playing and problem-solving.
Virtual sessions for reflection on the semestral tasks/projects.
Project team's virtual presentations at the end of the semester.


WHAT WILL STUDENTS RECEIVE?
6 ECTS credits after the mobility.
The opportunity to explore the beautiful Czech Republic and Pardubice city.
The chance to meet and engage with new students.
A rich social programme, planned tour of exciting places in the Czech Republic included.
70 EUR a day from your institution’s Erasmus grant for mobility to the University of Pardubice.


WHEN WILL IT TAKE PLACE?
Online consultation once weekly from March 10, 2025. 
Face-to-face sessions will occur in Pardubice from May 12 to May 16, 2025.


FAQS
Students will not be required to pay fees to enrol.
Students can apply by completing the application form on the website.
Students have to submit the applications for Erasmus+ mobility at their home university.
The dormitories are right in the middle of campus!
