eng	Determination of yield stress and  ?  curves by instrumented indentation.	The paper deals with the determination of yield stress and the construction of stress?strain curves from indentation tests. The main features of stress state at the indentation zone are shown and the characteristic quantities, such as representative stress and strain are defined. Then, a simple model for the determination of yield stress from the mean contact pressure is described, with the explanation of its use. In addition to this method, based on earlier works by Johnson, also three other approaches are presented.
