eng Modelling of secondary suspension for electric multiple unit The paper deals with modelling of a coach of regional electric multiple unit (EMU) which is actually realized in co-operation of the Faculty of Transport Engineering of the University of Pardubice and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Brno University of Technology in framework of solving an R&D project focused on improvement of the ride comfort. Therefore, the attention is paid especially to the secondary suspension stage of the vehicle, consisting of air spring system. Within the framework of the research activities, semiactively controlled secondary dampers are implemented in the model to evaluate a potential contribution of selected control strategies. The railway vehicle model including the control of the semiactive dampers is created in the SJKV multi-body simulation tool and intended for simulations of the vehicle running performance.
