Course title: Theoretical and Practical Knowledge Course for Aircraft Maintenance Technicians in English

Designed for: Interested international students who will apply for their AML in their country of residence.

Aim: Acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in aircraft maintenance, during which the student expands their theoretical knowledge and practical skills with the maintenance of civil and government aircraft and is prepared to pass the theoretical examinations to obtain their AML and commence the training.

Entry requirements: Initial interview. Employer's recommendation to complete the course.

Place: Theoretical training takes place in the classrooms of the Faculty of Transport, the University of Pardubice. Practical training takes place at the Secondary Technical School Chrudim and approved civil and state aircraft maintenance organizations.

Form and methods of teaching: The dates of the course are agreed upon in advance with the customer. The theory is taught in the form of lectures in a classroom equipped with video, visualizer and computer technology with the teaching programme. Lectures are conducted in Czech and English. Each participant receives their teaching material.

Practical training is conducted to verify the theoretical knowledge acquired in vocational subjects while utilizing and deepening the knowledge and skills gained from vocational subjects. The vocational practice's purpose is to appropriately complement the theoretical teaching in individual subjects. Practical training aims to familiarise students with the range and use of machines, equipment, measuring and diagnostic instruments and tools. Students will become familiar with activities related to the maintenance and repair of aircraft and aircraft units.

Examinations: After completing the lectures in the courses, the student will take a written test. To pass the theoretical exam, the student must correctly answer at least 75% of the questions from each course.

 An essay is required in selected subjects.

Certificate: A certificate of the completion of the basic theoretical examinations and successful completion of the exams is issued to the successful graduate at the end of the course.
