eng History, development and the current state of elearning at the Faculty of Transport Engineering (FTE), University of Pardubice The goal of this paper lies in the description, how eLearning was integrated into the education almost twenty years ago (since 2003), eLearning is still used mostly in the part-time study fields at the faculty, in a full-time study the more interactive and faster-accessed study materials like video lectures are preferred by students. The process of the proper Learning Management System (LMS) specification and its following selection is also discussed. After several months of LMS use, some aspects of the system were found as insufficient and the own self-created system was designed and implemented. This LMS is also shortly described. The system is mainly oriented on examining the students. Various question types can be used in tests (with one correct answer, more correct answers, text filling, selections etc.). Examination tests are usually assigned to study groups but also individual tests can be defined. The methodology of the test evaluation is based on the statistical evaluation according to several criteria, results are described in a synoptical report. For students there is a significant feedback, immediately after filling the test student gets the information about topics, which he should study (where he made mistakes in his test). There are also opposite feedbacks, where students can evaluate their courses as well as the teacher's approach or the LMS environment. Analysis of these feedbacks is also described. In the next section, the current state of eLearning at the FTE is also described. Some samples and expected outlook to the future on the field of the form of study materials and their connection to other study information systems are presented. It is a fact that for students, the attractivity of study is connected with the use of electronic study aids, interactive study materials and tests, which all can be found in the proper form of eLearning. This knowledge comes from the current situation in the education at the FTE. Further development of eLearning elearning, university of pardubice, interactive study material
